Cauda Equina Syndrome

Condition:
Cauda equina syndrome is a serious condition where severe compression of the nerve roots occurs in the spinal canal.

Symptoms:
Leg weakness, numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, and severe lower back pain. It is a medical emergency.

Treatment:
Complete removal of the affected disc with placement of a titanium disc or cage, followed by stabilization using titanium rods and screws for long-term support.
