Cervical Disc Prolapse with Spinal Cord Compression

Condition:
Cervical disc prolapse in which the herniated disc compresses the nerve roots and spinal cord, often associated with spinal cord edema.

Symptoms:
Neck pain, numbness in hands, weakness, difficulty in walking, and coordination problems.

Treatment:
Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) – The damaged disc is removed and the spine is stabilized using a bone graft or implant to relieve pressure on the spinal cord and nerves.
